Who will benefit
Autistic, AuDHD, ADHD, and those of us who don't easily 'fit in' will discover and activate strengths, identify work life needs, and practice improvement experiments in a safe, custom, interest-based journey.

What is different from standard career coaching?

Visualization and storytelling
Anyone can do this. You do not need drawing ability or artistic training. You do not need experience storytelling or diagramming prowess. With a drop of courage, we will open the door to new insights. Drawing, diagramming, and creating a symbolic story around our problem events and patterns shifts how we SEE these problems. This shift opens up new possible solutions. We also have options for Wizards with aphantasia.
Neurodivergent strengths
What would it feel like to stop trying to change your natural way of working and lean into your strengths? We use self-acceptance of difference to open the door to a better, more inclusive way of working. We also develop the language together, so you can talk to the people you work with and share why different is not only okay - it is beneficial to all. Traditional models at work focus on weaknesses, but research is showing this is not the best method for many neurodivergent people.

Systems thinking
Have you ever taken something apart to fix it? What happens if you lose some of the parts when putting it back together? It doesn't work - right? That is because this "thing" works because of its parts AND the relationships between parts. This is the essence of our systems thinking - seeking to understand the components and the connections to illuminate areas for change. Imagine that "expand-a-ball toy" that you can pull out or collapse. This works for brains too! Wizards can learn to alternate between focus and big picture.
Nice to meet you!
Hi, I'm Claire the founder of Wizard's Way. My traditional cred comes from ADHD and Autism training, degrees and experience in Whole Systems Design and Ecology and Evolution. My practical cred comes from decades of experience as an Operational Director, Internal Coach and supervisor for neurodivergent and 'different' staff members, Communications Manager, Curriculum creator, Educator, and Reuse Artist. I am AuDHD, nerdy, creative, and a weirdo. I smile a lot and mean it.
